Monitor multiple issue tracker instances from one place. This how to shows how to set that up in the Advanced Properties.

Version requirement:

Min. version: 0.7.0

img1.png The Join-in issue trackers (aka. brother issue trackers) is a way for you to have one issue tracker instance that not only lists its own issues but also issues in another instance. The other instances needs to be on the same Zope but the Properties can find instances recursively from the same parent as the issue tracker you are looking from.

img2.png Having a join-in issue tracker only affects listing of issues such as the Home page, List Issues, Complete List, user page and Statistics. If you add an issue it's only added to the instance you are currently using, not the joined-in instances. If your email address is on the Always notify list of new issues you will not be alerted of new issues in joined-in instances.

img3.png To set up join-in issue trackers, go to the Properties tab and select the sub tab Advanced. Scroll down to the bottom and if the issue tracker can find potential join-in issue trackers it will list them there in a multiple select drop down. Select one or more with the Ctrl key. The press Save Changes and notice how you now have issues from other issue trackers on your "hosting" issue tracker. Every time an issue is show that belongs to another issue tracker there's a little link in a bracket next to the title of that issue. If you follow the issue title link of a joined in issue you are taken to the other issue tracker that that issue belongs to. img4.png
